Human Resources Officer

ABOUT THE JOB

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional who is keen to further develop their skills working on a variety of HR functions such as Recruitment, Training and Development and Line Manager support.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Applicants must be passionate about working with people, outgoing, bright and enthusiastic. We are looking for an experienced HR Officer, ideally with some knowledge of grant claims. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Excellent written and verbal communication / presentation and strong interpersonal / negotiation skills.
  • PLANNING AND ORGANISING - Strong organisational and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to methodically plan and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively.
  • STRONG IT SKILLS - IT literate with strong working knowledge of M/S Office suite as a minimum requirement.
  • COLLABORATIVE - A strong team player with evidence of close collaboration with various stakeholders such as colleagues/external partners or managers in order to achieve goals.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The successful candidate will report to the HR Manager and be responsible for forming strong business relationships with the management team, providing them with sound HR advice and guidance on employment legislation and best practice. The candidate will contribute to continuous improvement activities by way of the Employee Forum and Health & Safety Committee. Being part of a small close knit team, the candidate will be required to collaborate with all other departments.

  • Key aspects of the role will be drafting and maintaining offer letters, job descriptions, HR Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant HR qualification (CIPD/Degree etc).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources support role.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience of record keeping, Fair Employment reporting and compliance.
  • HR experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in HR software packages i.e. Workday/North Time Pro .
