For the fourth year running, Whale (Munster Simms Engineering Ltd) is delighted to announce that they have been included in the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies To Work For List and have climbed 27 places since 2010.
The company also achieved top 3 star accreditation for extraordinary achievements in the field of employee satisfaction. This 3 star status recognizes Whale’s outstanding levels of employee fulfilment, motivation and engagement.
The independent survey results confirmed that Patrick Hurst and his senior management team truly live the organisation’s values scoring 89% positive in 18th place in the survey for this area. Staff have great confidence in the leadership of their senior managers (90% and placed 17th of the 100 listed). 90% of employees agreed ‘I have confidence in the leadership skills of the senior management team.’
The company believes it is the first local manufacturer to introduce flexible working for all, including factory staff. Three quarters of employees work flexi-time with many choosing to start and finish early to enjoy a longer weekend to relax with their families. More than three quarters for employees fed back that they are happy with their work life balance thereby increasing motivation levels.
Employee feedback confirms that the company is very family orientated:-
