Product Management Associate

A great opportunity exists to join the Brunswick Corporation focusing on the Attwood and Whale product portfolio. Reporting to the Marine Product Manager the successful applicant will be based in Bangor, Northern Ireland, supporting the product team in driving the goals and vision of the diverse product range, introducing and managing existing and new high quality products across brands in international markets.


Applicants must be self-motivated, well organised, analytical with a keen attention to detail and a desire to develop and implement best practices and strategic planning. The ability to work individually and as part of multi-discipline groups. The successful candidate will clearly exhibit the following competencies:

  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL – Well-organized and methodical approach even when working under pressure, taking due care to always ensure consistent and accurate information.
  • EXCELLENT NUMERACY – Natural mathematic ability and comfortable handling large data sets.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and an ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams producing concise coherent reports.
  • MARKET RESEARCH – Ability to undertake both quantitative and qualitative market research to inform product development.
  • PLANNING AND ORGANISING - Strong organisational and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to methodically plan and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively to maximise results through measurable plans.
  • PROBLEM SOLVING – Able to interpret and analyse complex data and document findings in a clear and logical manner with solutions.


An enthusiastic and ambitious individual, who is commercially aware and will work in collaboration with multiple Whale and Attwood internal stakeholder groups including Sales, Marketing and Engineering helping to rationalize current product and assisting with the successful delivery of new and innovative products to the market. Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Management of existing category products including pricing structure, product life cycle, product data, excess and obsolete stock, technical support and forecasting.
  • Serve as product marketing champion, supporting sales and marketing teams by identifying current and required materials to deliver a successful aftermarket plan.
  • Responsibility for the successful completion of product modifications or changes as requested by customers on time and to cost.
  • Manage category opportunities and interactions in Salesforce (CRM) ensuring that opportunities are logged, assigned and driven to a successful outcome.
  • Support development of the product plan and project execution.
  • Generate and communicate monthly KPI dashboards.

  • A degree level qualification in engineering, marketing or a business related discipline.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with 2 years or more of proven relevant experience.

  • Proficient with all major Windows-based software products.
  • A willingness to travel internationally.
