We are aware of an issue with our Whale Rapid Heat 8L Water Heater (product code WH0802 or WC0802), involving the hot water feed pipe disconnecting from the heater, causing some leakage.

If your serial number begins with ‘2WCR’, please check to see if the last 4 digits are 1017 or above. If your serial number begins with ‘2WHR’, please check to see if the last 4 digits are 5902 or above. If this is the case, your heater may be affected by this. The serial number of your heater can be found on the data label attached to the blue front cover of the heater. Another simple way to check if your heater may be affected, is to see if there is a black plastic fitting attached to the braided hose as shown below.

  

We are in the process of providing kits to anyone who may be affected by this to resolve the issue. If you have purchased a model of the caravans/motorhomes listed below that was manufactured since July 2019, please make contact either with Whale Customer Services directly on 0345 9090 911 or via email at whalerapidheat2020@whalepumps.com. When contacting us, please ensure you have your serial number & VIN ready.
